Although a vast majority of Russia universities courses are taught in Russia, there are many others whose courses are taught in English language.
Tuition fees and universities in Russia are relatively cheep compared with many other countries. The tuition fees ranges between $2,000 to $7,000 yearly depending on the course.
Regarding accommodation and living expenses, it is cheaper/easier to reside in universities halls of residence. Generally the cost of living in Russia in many of its cities is affordable.
All international students need a study visa to study in Russia regardless of nationality. To apply for a study visa you must tender your international passport valid for 2 years minimum, attested school certificate, attested AIDS/HIV test, invitation letter from Russia state university issued by federal migration service of Russia federation, visa confirmation letter to embassy of Russia from ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia Federation, proof of finance to cover the duration of your studies.
Security in Russia: Generally crime is no more of a problem in Russia than in other major countries and cities. The Government and the universities are constantly taking measures to ensure safety of international students.
